About Me
Nikki holds an MA in History of Design and Curatorial Studies at Parsons School of Design and has a passion for exploring the intersections of art, culture, and social justice, with a focus on Latinx, queer, and women artists and designers in New York City’s creative landscape.
Before Parsons, Nikki worked as a Program Associate at The Latinx Project at NYU, a research center celebrating Latinx art and history. In the summer of 2024, she collaborated with the Guggenheim Museum's curatorial team to research newly acquired works and potential gallery rehangs. Nikki holds a B.A. in Individualized Study from NYU Gallatin, where her studies centered on Latinas in U.S. Visual Culture and the role of art in driving social change.
Nikki has honed her skills in social media, web and graphic design, content writing/editing, collections organization, and curatorial work through roles at institutions like Cooper Hewitt, The Gallatin Galleries, The Guggenheim Museum, and the NYC Commission for Human Rights. Her contributions span exhibition planning, program development, and advocacy campaigns.
Fluent in Spanish and deeply committed to social justice, Nikki has supported immigration reform through fellowships and internships focused on migrant rights. She also works as an independent curator, highlighting her research and social justice interests through exhibitions.
